#9 use of readlink in bin/jtalkc is not portable

I am on osx and "readlink -f" as in bin/jtalkc is not usable/portable. Maybe a more platform neutral equivalent is possible/available, see for example http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1055671/how-can-i-get-the-behavior-of-gnus-readlink-f-on-a-mac
